MOONGLOW DAIRY AREA LIST

The MoonGlow Dairy area list is restricted to birds seen on the property of the Calcagno's MoonGlow Dairy or from that property, plus the pond to the east (on adjacent land) and the short line of eucalyptus to the west (on adjacent land). Therefore it does include a variety of birds on Elkhorn Slough that have been seen from MoonGlow; in almost all cases the birds were in or over the Slough. [I believe there is only one bird -- Reddish Egret -- on this list which has only been on the opposite side of the Slough, but seen from the Dairy.]

This list is compiled from all published literature, North America Birds files going back in the 1950s, the Monterey Peninsula Rare Bird Alert files back to the early 1980s, and the field notes of Bruce Gerow and myself. There are surely species missing from this list. Additions to this list are welcome but I do need a specific date and a specific observer to enter those data into the database, and details may be necessary for rarities.
