FIELD SPARROW Spizella pusilla
The FIELD SPARROW is a very rare fall & winter vagrant to
California (plus a summer record from SE Farallon I.). A couple have attempted
to winter, and therefore been present for weeks. My field notes & barest
of sketches (above) are of such a bird.
All of my California records are listed below. These are my personal
